Ugly Sonic Design Featured in New Giveaway

Paramount Pictures has found a nostalgic and playful way to promote Sonic the Hedgehog 3. The studio is bringing back Sonic’s infamous original movie design, which was scrapped after widespread backlash, to feature on a quirky holiday sweater. Fans can win this unique collectible in a one-day sweepstakes ending tonight, December 11, at 7 PM PT / 10 PM ET.

The contest offers more than just the sweater. Additional prizes include Sonic-themed Reebok sneakers, Jones Soda bottles, Sonic LEGO sets, and plush toys. To participate, fans need to visit the sweepstakes site before time runs out.

This throwback design stirs memories of the 2020 controversy when Sonic’s first trailer sparked fan outrage over the character’s look. Paramount delayed the movie to give Sonic a makeover, a move praised by fans that contributed to the film’s eventual success.
